.....a few hours on the Dshk gave me this:

A bit of thought needed for the wooden handles and some filling on the PE but I must be honest, I'm pleased with it.

You put some love in it. :D
The result is great. However I would try to delete the pin ejector marks on the right side of the body.

Agreed Olivier,
I will see how the mounting covers them and fill if they are still seen.

Some progress on the Dshk 12.7mm.
I have discovered that I have the type 38/46 due to the PE I added, the kt comes with the more modern type 54, the distinguishing feature being the 54 has a higher belt feed cover, I cut that one off and replaced it.

A bit of fettling withe abrasives and some painting/repainting and i can move onto the commanders hatch.

The amount of work you put into the Dushka is breathtaking, to say the least

Thank you Olivier, Bryan and Phillipp.
I've made many mistakes on it that would be obvious to the more knowledgeable than me but it's been worthwhile and I'm relatively happy with the result.
The research, the techniques and the stretching of my abilities is really what this is about.

Ps- Olivier, if you find a FB friend request from "Shot Kal" it's from me. 👍

A question to the collective knowledge on here:
What is the purpose of the small box mounted on the right of the DSHK mount that sits above the weapon?
