Just to prove I haven't been slack I thought I'd show you the progress of the base so far. Unfortunately, I've hit a brick wall because I used a cheap paintbrush for the grass and I have run out. Now I just have to remember where I bought the brush from :?

Obviously, there is still a lot to do ;)

Thanks Philipp and Raoul, I appreciate your kind words. :)

I was lucky enough to find a couple of brushes at a local hardware store that was closing down. Now it's back to the bench to continue to plant grass.....oh.....maybe I'm not so lucky after all

Ok, I've almost finished the base I think. :) I added dirt from the garden plus dirt from TREEMENDUS plus MIG and AMMO pigments and Abteilung oils. I've tried to keep the grass farther away from the "action" reasonably green while simulating a burnt grass area where the Panther is hit.
In this pic, you can see the area of scorching where the Panther burns.....I hope ;)

Now it's back to the Panther for some more attention. I feel like I'm getting there now. :)

Vincent

Well, you turned a very convincing piece of beach into a convincing piece of central Russian tundra

The scorched areas look excellent. I'm taking notes for my GB Flammhetzer
