T26 Super Pershing kind of
This isn't a historically accurate build. I took some liberties and mated a reworked split hatch turret to a production hull.
I picked up the Tamiya Pershing and AA Super Pershing resin conversion for cheep at a swap meet. The casting texture on the AA turret was so nice (except for the pin holes that keep popping up) I had to use it. I also used the front armored plates and skipped the rest. I used a Black Dog resin set for the fender stowage and used misc. stowage and epoxy putty for the rest. The barrels are RB models, track tool and tool box handles are TMD. PE is a combo of Eduard and scratch. The tracks are Fruil and they only included two lefts so I'm a little bummed by that.
It's not technically accurate but I've been having fun with it.

Great work Bryan! Having fun is the main thing, and I'm sure it served that purpose well enough
I could very well imagine this thing prowling through the nuclear wasteland of what was once Munich or Nuremberg in late 1945

Thanks!. I'm pretty sure the MG post it too tall but haven't found any ref photos to make the adjustment.

Now that you mention it....I'd say you used a later model pintle for mounting directly on the turret roof. The circular hatch version was much shorter.

Great work Bryan, When you finally do a paint and weather I'd be interested in a step by step to see your process, loved the weathering on the KV-5 and I'm keen to see how you achieve it.

Thanks Adam. It may be a while before I ever get paint applied. Cold weather excludes painting in the unheated garage.

Re: T26 Super Pershing kind of
The weather cooperated the other weekend and I was able to get some paint on this.
I'm not looking forward to all the in situ detailing stowage painting. Too much PE to knock off.

Looks lovely, but I don't envy you the detail painting on this!

Re: T26 Super Pershing kind of
May be a result of me primarily building German vehicles but the camo pattern along with the unusual silhouette gives me more of an early cold war feeling than a late war feeling .
Of course there is no German stuff until the 60s to elicit this perception and offer a comparitive hook, so I suppose it's just me being out of my comfort zone .
Now stopping my blathering... ANYWAY - THE IMPORTANT STUFF: it looks awesome!!
Best regards
