Hi folks,
I managed to get a little paint onto this thing. No worries, I took some more risque nude shots first
Paint as usual Tamiya over a primer coat of Chaos Black.
For the wheels I've tried a Quickwheel mask for the first time. It's only large enough for about a third of a Tiger's wheels, and to do front and back you need several runs. Still a lot easier than doing everything by hand. But since I had already assembled some of the wheels I still need to do part of it manually.
By the way, I'm going to do this tank:
You can't see the number here but this is 101 of sPzAbt 505. It has the characteristic "arch" scheme used by many Tigers of the 505 during Kursk and afterwards. I have no idea if they used green or brown for camo, but green seems a little more reasonable for central Russia.

Hi Philipp
Nice start, can you have too many Tigers?
Looks like there will be a full platoon to populate 101.
Happy figure work

Sorry to disappoint but so far I'm planning only a commander hidden inside the cupolaSteve Hutchinson wrote: ↑21 Mar 2020, 07:24Looks like there will be a full platoon to populate 101.

That's an interesting way to get motivated Philipp. Personally, I always stay dressed when I paint.Philipp Gross wrote: ↑20 Mar 2020, 20:50 Hi folks,
