Philipp,
Remember you can also check Evilbay for people that sell Tasca sprues and the Tasca Shop. They currently only have two sprues available for sale...O & K.

One of the things I like about Tasca Shop is the ability to purchase the late model opening turret instead of trying to find the whole kit.

I've considered that version, even found the full kit for a relatively sane price, but I wasn't going to wait a month until it arrives from Japan

Re: M32B3 Tank Recovery Vehicle
I guess an update on this thing is overdue... For a while I wasn't sure how to proceed with this. I did order the Asuka M32B1 and everything in it looks just so much better. But instead of using its M32 parts on a mediocre hull I decided to keep going with the M32B3 as planned and use the Asuka parts for reference. I'll later build the M32B1 as well, which will probably go a lot faster than this monstrosity
In addition I found this on Shapeways which made life a lot easier.
Said brackets in the flesh:
I won't be needing a lot of this but the huge angled fittings for the lifting boom would have been somewhat difficult to get right.
And here's where we are right now:
As you can see the turret needed some work as well, since Italeri messed up the dimensions pretty badly. Now I could have ordered an all new M32 turret on Shapeways as well, but this would have been just as expensive as buying another Asuka M32. I know they are selling sprues individually, but of course those with the M32 turret are currently unavailable.
The width is fixed, but the overall shapes are beyond my skill to repair. I even considered scratchbuilding the whole turret. I hope nobody will notice on the finished kit

Hi Folks,
just in case you're wondering what on earth is taking me so long....I spent the last two days fixing the front cable guide roller assembly...thing which Italeri kindly provided about 50% oversized in lenght.
Also: All hail Meng nuts!

That's a lot of impressive detail work! What's your impression of the 3D printed parts?

Re: M32B3 Tank Recovery Vehicle
Thanks Bryan Lots more to add I'm afraid
What little I used of the printed stuff behaved nicely but one smaller part (the mortar base plate) broke when I cut it from the carrier plate. Thankfully I still had the styrene version from the kit.

Hi Philipp,
Nice modelling!
Brass parts look nice and shiny, and brass does look cool. But i love seeing detailing done in plastic
