I put on the base coat today. :) I used Ammo Modulation set, mixing a lighter shade using the Base DunkleGelb and the Highlight. I think it's a little too green for my eye but most of it will be covered by white so perhaps it doesn't matter much. We'll see. ;)

Next I think I'll give it a coat of matt for protection then on with the Whitewash camo. :)

The more I looked at the paint job the more I thought it was lacking something. So I gave it some more highlights and I'm much happier now. :) I also painted the tools and added some decals. I figured that these should be present before the whitewash goes on.

Can't imagine the crews went to too much effort of de-stowing tools for the whitewash application.

I agree Woody. I thought I should paint them so that the chipping process would reveal the colours of the tools rather than having them left in white. ;)
