I understand completely Woody. I've done it on the Panther and I'm still scared of itJustin Wooding wrote: ↑20 Jan 2020, 02:55 Hi Vincent,

Re: Panther Ausf G
I put on the base coat today. I used Ammo Modulation set, mixing a lighter shade using the Base DunkleGelb and the Highlight. I think it's a little too green for my eye but most of it will be covered by white so perhaps it doesn't matter much. We'll see.
Thanks for stopping by.

Next I think I'll give it a coat of matt for protection then on with the Whitewash camo. Thanks for stopping by.

Re: Panther Ausf G
The more I looked at the paint job the more I thought it was lacking something. So I gave it some more highlights and I'm much happier now. I also painted the tools and added some decals. I figured that these should be present before the whitewash goes on.
Cheers,
Vincent

Looks great Vincent!
Can't imagine the crews went to too much effort of de-stowing tools for the whitewash application.

Fantastic finish Vincent, almost a shame to cover it with whitewash

I agree Woody. I thought I should paint them so that the chipping process would reveal the colours of the tools rather than having them left in white.Justin Wooding wrote: ↑21 Jan 2020, 10:07 Looks great Vincent!
