Thank you Bryan, I appreciate the comment.
A bit of experimentation with the periscopes, I initially did them with silver acrylic and played with clear green and clear blue but thought it could be better, so I broke out the aluminium foil tape I have for sealing vent pipe (from Aldi) and put down a layer of clear blue quickly followed by a coat of clear green whilst it was still wet, left that to dry and cut the tape into the appropriate strips and length, a coat of nail varnish was applied and left to dry, I plan to add a few more the give some depth.
Overall I'm pretty pleased with the effect:

Nice solution to that problem, hard to find something convincing especially when the vision blocks aren’t modeled in clear styrene.

Thank you Shawn.
It's a good excuse to spend more time in your new hobby room!
It would be much easier (and cheaper) to buy a Miniart kit in the first place, but where's the fun and learning experience in that?!

I just placed a big Mini art order. I have a feeling their kits are going to get very difficult to get. Just praying for them. I cant imagine what they are going through right now.

I understand that they have moved production from their Kiev base but I can't confirm that.

I was hoping Miniart would have some sort of contingency plan for this kind of event...after all, they have experience with evacuating their entire company....

Scopes came out okay I reckon, you can see a blue/green tinge from some angles and filling them up with a few coats of Sally Hansen has given them some depth. There's some legs to this method I think.....
Not much to update as I'm slowly working through PE and repairing broken parts.

Re: Tamiya T-62
Well I've been working on the tracks trying to find a way of making them easy to paint and fix to the model.
Fully working tracks are the best option but OMsh in metal are too expensive for this kit as are the click type plastic options. What I needed was a mix of link&length and fully working so I came up with fixing the top and bottom runs but modifying the idler and sprocket sections to be flexible so I can paint and fit without too much hassle and have them conform to the curve of the idler and sprocket. It's definitely not a quick option but I reckon it's worth the time to save the frustration and a method I will persevere with on future models:
