Model building of the  Pz.Kpfw. II Ausf F from the Academy kit is slowly coming to an end. I decided to continue dissolving the topic of Pz.Kpfw. II. I started building the Pz.Kpfw. II Ausf C French Campaign from the Tamiya kit. I must say that this kit is very good and pleasant to build.

Nice work Milan! The Tamiya Panzer IIs are beautiful little kits, a shame there are not more versions of them around :D

There is another version, tank used during Polish Campaign. They will release version Operation Barbarossa, I think.

Yep, I've built them both :) Where did you hear about the Barbarossa version? North Africa with a refitted cupola would be an easy modification as well.

I glued small details, then sprayed the model with a Mr. Surfacer 1500.

Today I sprayed the model with Dunkelgrau Base paint from the HATAKA set. I lightened the base color by adding white to break the uniformity of the surface. Next, I started "soiling" the chassis with a mixture of sifted clay and white glue.

Little progress again, chassis and tracks completed. Sprayed with glossy varnish as a base for decals. Overall, building a model from Tamiya is easy and joyful.
