Das Werks Borgward IV PzJg. "Wanze"

Post by Shawn Ramsey »

Since I have a nice new hobbyroom I decided to start a new build a few months ago. One of the most difficult part of thye hobby is deciding what to build. I choose this kit because it did not have any PE but I do have a update resin set from Blast models and some Master club tracks.

Off course I will be building a base. I bought a Proxxon foam cutter and let me tell you, this thing is so much fun. I cant believe I did not buy one sooner. Did I mention how much fun this thing is. :D :D :D

A small frame from Hobby Lobby and some blue foam. We will see how this goes.

First attempt building a window that is round at the top.

What a weird contraption :D Nice weathering on the interior!

Your foam diorama looks promising. I'm taking notes for my future projects

Looks like great fun and and interesting kit too Shawn.

The blue board was a pain to sculpt, I believe.

It looks like you did beat it into to shape eventually.

Have fun with the figures

You are correct Steve. I had a hard time with the blue foam, but it looks really good with the primer on it.

Love that interior, love the work in that diorama, love that new model room!
Looking forward to seeing this finished. 😁

The base is going to be spectacular Shawn. :) I'm interested in your experience of using the foam. Was it difficult?

This specific foam was not easy to work with. It was very spongy and difficult / time consuming to work with. Its just insulation foam available at the local hardware store.
