How will you display this once it's done? I'd mount it on a wall plate like a stuffed fish

That's something I hadn't given much thought to when I bought it Philipp.
Maybe a second mortgage to build it's own room? I'll worry about it later.
At the moment I'm still doing something to it that I'm starting to wish I hadn't started. I'll post some shots when I recover from this task.

Michael.

Its about time you blog something Micheal. But did it have to be something other than armor. I'm so tempted to build something different as well. I do have a ship and plane that I really need to try.

Anyways, I am following with interest. Looks great from here.

Well Shawn, I started it because I have 5 stalled AFV's, a plane and a armoured bulldozer that I have lost all interest in due to how fragile the parts are to get off the Miniart spue's.
I'm not going to stop this one, but, it will take a while, due to a decision I made to try and get a bit more detail into it without aftermarket stuff. ;)
I hope you enjoy what I have done so far and I will post some more soon.

I have finally got the forward deck drilled. What a stupid decision I have made. This is so time consuming, boring and not to mention hard on the wrist. As you can see from the photo below, I made the decision to give the deck some added detail by drilling out all the flood holes with a 0.5mm drill, which were just indentations. Oh my aching wrist.

That is what I have been doing since the last update. The concern for me is that the aft deck is 2 1/2 times longer.

That's it for now.

...respect for that! :o

...the of course there's the "fun" part - you can hardly go back behind what you've done already and now you need to do this on the whole boat.... :o  ;)

Best regards and good drilling

That is certainly dedication to the hobby :D

It does look very good though and is definitely much better than the original.

Hi Michael,

Now there is a hole (see what i did there) lot of work, but blimey, that is most impressive! And what a difference that makes to the final look and finish Image Hell of a lot easier to paint too, when the time comes!

I bet it was a boring (see what i did there again)job! Image
