With a view to a forthcoming operational deployment in the Sahel (Operation Barkhane), the BFA (Franco-German Brigade) has carried out a major exercise (Feldberg) with more than 500 soldiers and a hundred vehicles coming from regiments such as the 3rd Hussards Regiment (leader of the GTIA), 1st Infantry Regiment, 1st Artillery Regiment, 19th Engineer Regiment, 3rd Combat Helicopter Regiment and 295th PzArtilleriebataillon.
