Sounds like a bit of model engineering is called for. Got any photos?
Hard to photograph as its all inside the turret. Managed to sole the problem, the gunshots flush with the opening in the hull, the gun shield touches all the way round. I'm not going to "play" with this build so have set the gun at its "march" elevation and glued the gunshield and mounts to the turret. I also drilled some holes from below and superglued in some brass dowels to add strength.

Managed to get the lions share of the model done now. Just a few small bits to glue on after painting. It's such a big kit that I've left most of the parts as subassemblies to aid in the waiting and weathering.

If the weather is OK tomorrow I'll prime all the stowage and some of the subassemblies. I might take a big break at that stage. This kit has become a bit of a chore. Hopefully my 38(t) project will turn up soon. It will be my sanity build! :D

You have got quite a bit done on this brute Adam. :) There is plenty of time left to finish it.

My 38(t) project has arrived in NZ and is with the couriers so hope to see it tomorrow :D

This will put a pause on the Paladin, need a break to get my thoughts in order and plan the diorama a bit better.

Thinking of using most of the figures from the MB set as is, the theme of "purchasing" a sheep to supliment MREs appeals as I know what it's like to live on them for weeks on end :?

Does anyone have a source for printable road signs, magazines, newspapers etc in 1/35? Looking for general props and detritus for the scene I have in mind.

You built this fast Adam. NO wonder you need a break from it.

It looks really good though. Love the barrel. It looks huge.

I haven't forgotten this build. Whilst becoming slowly disillusioned with the rust job I'm doing on the Hetzer over at the 38(t) GB, I've slowly been chipping away at the stowage and have undercoated the vehicle in Chaos Black. Complete fiddle cutting out and folding MRE cartons so I hope the effort is worth it!

Have a real mental block going on this one, having to force myself to move forward and that's turning it from a hobby into a chore. Therefore this one is being shelved

Beautiful work! Loved knowing I wasn't alone in the roadwheels issue. I also played heck with the lower hull. Too many pieces to ensure a good fit. Hopefully it will all play out. Keep up the great work!
