Where is the update????? I always struggle with the mud / dirt and all the stages of weathering. It looks very realistic from where I am sitting.

Sorry about that...a full week already?

I'm a bit weary of muddy vehicles as well, too many failed experiments in my early days that looked absolutely horrible.

Anyhow, I think I'm 99% done by now. The wheels haven't fully dried yet but they are supposed to be wet anyway. The tracks once again have mysteriously shrunk by about 2 mm but some superglue and brute force finally brought them into position.

I'll try my luck with a simple muddy base for this thing to sit on, mostly to prevent getting dirty fingers handling it

Thanks Bryan! Just a big jar of artist's pigments from the art shop and some clear gloss acrylic for the wet effects. It's 90% trial and error and I simply keep adding more pigments over the areas I'm not entirely happy with.

I think I might actually finish this thing in time

The base is more or less complete, except for a few grass tufts and minor touchups:

Thanks Adam :D

Let's just say the wheels and weathering in general was the result of a dynamic process
