This will be my contribution for the GB. Hopefully I can start soon.

I also have this set minus the barrel.

Excellent choice :)

Raoul gave me one as a christmas present last year (thanks Raoul!), so I'll follow your build with great interest :)

Steve Reid kindly gave me this kit. He won it in a raffle at the AMPS Nationals last year. We all know he only builds T 34's so he did not have a need for it. :D

I have a question for you guys. How does everyone prep/clean PE before using it? I take 600 grit sand paper and give it a lite sanding. Problem with this is I tend to damage a piece or so. Then I wash it in warm, soapy water. But I still have problems gluing it together.

No build updates but I did wash all the sprues and PE.

Sometimes I anneal it, but only if it's too sturdy to be safely bent otherwise. I don't degrease it either, the primer I use sticks to everything fairly well. Not that I'm a PE expert or anything... :?

By the way, in case you haven't seen it yet, there's an excellent review on PMMS, inclucing the modifications required for a British tank:

Hi Shawn
I follow the Wilder way
file down the attachment point which ever way is easiest to cause least damage
Then proceed to anneal\bend\solder\superglue accordingly.
degrease on completion using a large soft brush, then a coating of Mr. Metal primer and spray car primer for a base.
But no sanding the surface
HTH's?
Regards
great choice by the way ;)

First the sprue shots with the extra PE

Very basic hull detail

Each bogie consists of 14 pieces. They have a lot of detail for sure.

Some really great suspension detail

Tracks went on really nice. Was about a half link to short or a half a link to long peding on how you look at it, on one side. :D
