Just a small update from me today. I added more to the engine. Piping on the top and some more nuts and bolts. For all the time its taken there isn't a lot to show for it. Oh well

I'm not sure what has happened to the pics on here. Something to do with the server probs perhaps?

So, working on the engine led me to realise I would need to open the floor up so it can sit properly. Have a look at what happens when I cut the floor open.

All the lovely detail that's hidden suddenly becomes a feature. It's almost like it was made for this modification. Lovely.
Plenty of scope for more detail down there.

BTW I replaced the pic above and it seems to be ok now.

Some more progress. I've scratchbuilt the frame that sits behind the engine and has three long round "containers" on it. I dont know what they are for but they are quite prominent in my reference pictures. Also as I don't have any plans for all my additions I can only go by eye. The containers or cannisters seem a little small to me now but thats all I had at the time. I'll get some larger plastic tube so they don't look so scrawny.
It's dry fitted at the moment just to show what it will look like. The transmission that sits behind the engine still has to be worked on. Its only there so I can judge what the final look will be. Does that make sense?

I think these are compressed air tanks for starting the diesel engine.

Thanks Philipp. I'm glad you like it so far. Ah, compressed air tanks, yes that make complete sense. Thanks for clearing that up.
Sorry progress is so slow but everything from the radiator to the transmission has to line up to each other. So its pretty much trial and error at the moment.

For a change from all the engine detailing I started on the Driver Station area. I added lots of bolts and rivet heads, an access door and some piping. I think it looks ok and should be a joy to paint.

This is last of the wiring I've done. I'm looking forward to finishing this area off to be honest.
