Re: Panzer III J, North Africa 1942
Woohooo! Finally managed to glue some plastic together!
The result of two evenings of work:
I've left the middle torsion bars workable for now, might come in handy later depending on what base I'll use. Might recreate that rock climbing base I made for my 223

Thanks gents!
It really is a nice kit...not quite as foolproof as Tamiya but a lot more pleasant than most other kits on the market.

Re: Panzer III J, North Africa 1942
Lower hull mostly complete:
And because I just need to add some extra pain I decided to add Masterclub resin tracks... But to be fair, the kit comes with rare initial 40cm tracks and the two tanks I use for reference both have standard early 40cm tracks.
Assembly so far was tedious. Every link needs to have its holes drilled out because the slightest obstacle will break the track pins. At least they remained nicely workable so far.
They do fit fairly well...
I might continue the track assembly piecemeal alongside the rest of the build. Might help preserve some sanity

Looking good. I love Master Club Metal track. Have never used their Resin options before.

Re: Panzer III J, North Africa 1942
Thanks Mark. The tracks look fine, fit together very well...it's just the weak pins that make assembly somewhat difficult. A jig would be helpful too
