Stunning work Adam, especially the rather strong chipping (perfectly appropriate given the age of the hardware) looks awesome!
Best regards

Thanks Raoul, unfortunately I’m of the school of “just-a-bit-more-ah-crap-too-much-ah-well-it’ll-be-a-junker”!Raoul Kunz wrote: ↑27 Jan 2019, 16:47 Stunning work Adam, especially the rather strong chipping (perfectly appropriate given the age of the hardware) looks awesome!

On the RHS of the turret is a grey, bowl shaped item held in place by some straps. What is it? Any ideas?

Re: Takom AML-90 (Falklands War)
Got rolling (pun intended) on the wheels today, Ammo "European Earth" applied with VMS Alkyd binder. I like the VMA product over other pigment binders as, once dry, it doesn't change the colour of the pigments. Its also workable for about 9hrs and once dry is very solid.

Very nice Adam.
Good to know the VMS Alkyd binder can be used successfully with other products. The wheels look great.

Re: Takom AML-90 (Falklands War)
I ran a few tests on my “test” model before committing. I wasn’t sure if the VMS pigments were specially formulated in any way. Not to say I don’t like VMS pigments, they just didn’t have the shade I wantedVincent Power wrote: ↑28 Jan 2019, 23:45 Very nice Adam.

Good thinking Adam. I should use a test model too, instead of practicing on the one I'm building
