Nice work Philipp. The retro idea sounds pretty good.

I second that. No reason to use the Tristar flak on this build.Vincent Power wrote: ↑06 Mar 2020, 23:42 Nice work Philipp. The retro idea sounds pretty good.

Re: Italeri/Revell Sd.Kfz 10/5
Thanks everyone! I might add a spare barrel to the very simple Flak 38, but that'll be all.
Right now I'm busy with the ammo trailer, it looked a lot less horrible before I started it I'll post some photos once I've progressed enough to show anything...

Re: Italeri/Revell Sd.Kfz 10/5
So, I managed to put together one of the ammo trailers sold by Italeri specifically for their 10/4 and 10/5 kits.
And everything together:
I'm not exactly sure it's supposed to sit slanted like this.....?

Nice trailer Philipp
Does seem to be sitting a little off level?
Perhaps Google might offer a solution?
Flak trailer
Perhaps it might ride closer to level without the top bar on the trailer arm?
Regards

Thank you Steve. I think I see the problem now...
Time to do some scratchbuilding
I also found this photo, looks like the trailer didn't ride fully level anyways.

Ahh!
A heated screwdriver then for little plastic sculpting.
Shouldn't be too difficult to bend it to match and level it up to almost horizontal.
Nice one Philipp

Re: Italeri/Revell Sd.Kfz 10/5
A long overdue update, basic construction shold be finished now.
I noticed indicator poles on a lot of these things, but they are missing from the kit. A bit of Evergreen plastic rod fixed that. I made the tarp on the windscreen with the ancient glue-soaked tissue method. And I fixed the trailer coupling...by brutally bending it in shape
Figure from the Kugelblitz for scale, not sure yet what I'm going to add to this one...I'm also not sure if I should go with a desert scheme or Panzer grey

Go panzer grey, we haven’t seen an early war German scheme for a while.
