“Who would have guessed it, the instructions never said to depressurise the tank after each use, as compressed air is moisture rich!!!“

Got to say I didn’t know that either :o

Its a pain as the old tank had rusted through!

The new one has a sprung pressure release and also a valve that can be unscrewed.

I shall be using both after each session which is probably OTT, but I don't want to have to buy another compressor in 12 months or so!

Its a timely warning for all of us that have a tank compressor.

Oh my, can't say I ever heard that happening before  However, my old compressor is back to zero five minutes after switching it off

The paint job looks fantastic!

Thanks Philipp

If its a tank compressor then that noisy hissing could be a rusted hole in the tank

Otherwise it could just be a duff seal or loose valve?

I think I'll start on brush painting now to get the Pz IV over the finish line for the end of the month.

Just a light dusting and a little paint wear and tear as its been in the training school for the past 3 years and has been well maintained.

More soon?

Its Mid Summer's day and just a short time left to the end of another GB!

The garage has been de ratted and the new compressor is working

Still some pin wash to clean up on the glacis plate, detail painting and the exhausts too

Will it get finished?

Good luck Steve :D

If you declare it finished and post a photo until midnight that's plenty enough to qualify, you can send me the photos whenever you want ;)

Its completed for now.

I do have plans for a base and "stuff" but I shall call this part of the build completed.

The kit was "old" Dragon superb, too many bits and dodgy instructions but you know what to expect when you open the box!

I loved doing the modulation with the Mr Hobby Dunkelgelb and the none water based paints, though I had to get a new mask/breathing system as my old one has given up the ghost!

I am still a newbie for the weathering but have learned some bits and pieces, uses Tamiya black not brown to pinwash as you can see it!
Odourless thinner is no good, you need white spirit, mineral spirit to remove the tide marks, so it does pay to be careful when applying it.

I put too much mud on!!

I used a light dusting of tamiya deck tan for dusting and will be watching NightShift on YouTube once he gets over his broken leg for some great weathering tips, if/when I get another build this far!

And without further ado, the first few snaps, my mobile might have a gazillion pixels, but is still me using it

More soon and I have got one done!

Well done Steve :D

I've received your photos - I'll upload them tomorrow or Friday at the latest. My apologies but I'm in desperate need of some sleep

It most certainly counts as completed GB :)
