Thanks Rob! I wouldn't have put it that way, but if you insist...

Oh well, here's weathering, stage 1 and 2:

I've added the mud splatters by picking up the pigments with a brush and blowing them on the model with the airbrush. The wheels are still too monotonous for my taste, so I'll have to do some more work there.

And here's a quick placement test with a simple picture frame as diorama base:

See what you mean Philipp

There is a lot of wheel space to deal with on this one

The splatter looks good, and starts to cover all that wheel up nicely ;)

Nice little vignette too ;)

camo on the figures :?: :?:

Looking good and developing nicely 8-)

Thanks everyone! :)

Steve...I'm afraid I need to paint a little more camo on these two. At least one of them has a standard grey coat underneath his camo tunic, that makes it slightly easier

More progress hopefully later today.

Small update on the figures: Faces are more or less done, the rest...not so much

The one on the left is still in primer...too bad it's not a snowy setting :?

Love the experssion on the guy with the ciggie. Looks like he's inhaling more than just nicotine with those raised eyebrows

So funny that's what I thought before I saw your post Gary. :D

The figures are coming along nicely Philipp. Is there going to be snow on the ground?

The "tobacco" was probably hidden in a corner of the M8 by the previous crew...some west coast special brand

Thanks everyone :) The scenery will have no snow, just dirt, mud and dead plants. Otherwise the figures would be done by now

Except for his boots, water bottle, rifle and maybe a few minor touchups, smoking dude No. 1 is now finished:

Shawn's tutorial might have had a slight influence on the outcome, so...many thanks for that :D

Please let me know if you see anything that could use some improvement!

Smoker No. 2 will get a full suit of splinter camo....I'm still slightly afraid :?
